This one is free-standing, carved from a larger block of stone--a piece of stone that had actually been intended to be a tombstone, except for the flaw that caused the fracture at the top.

One of the cool things about this series is that they are fragments of vision but they are also actual fragments: rejected bits of architectural stone that have found new and unexpected purpose.
