The works in this exhibition have been called both “drawings in stone” and “drawings with light.” I am fascinated by the notion that the work can combine essential natures of two such seemingly opposite elements as stone—deliberate and enduring—and light—transient and ephemeral. Yet, that is my purpose: to render the transitory permanent by inscribing it in stone.
