The new tree drawings are a huge step for me. They're like nothing
you've seen before. Some of them are massive and designed to be
viewed from below. Perhaps mounted on the ceiling above your bed.
They resolve a problem that has been dogging me since the beginning:
how to unite monumentality with intimacy; universality and specificity.
These drawings pull it off. They can stand next to any work of art
in any material and more than hold their own.
They're on 3/8' plywood and mount either (on the ceiling or wall)
with a 3" poplar frame or borderless using transparent mirror
clips.
